Ladies, I have received five entries for this event so far I need at least another 15 to make this a viable event. Come on girls this could be one of the few women only events in Scotland this year don't miss your chance to test yourself against your peers!

Thanks Jez

The Lady has entered!

That's it. That's it for the Scottish contingency.

I'll stick it on my blog and try and see if some of my 'girl' friends will enter.

I went to a party once dressed in drag. Even though I am exceedingly handsome man, I was a surprisingly ugly woman. However, I will don the wig and enter the ladies race if I have to - even if it's only to back up Gen.

Hi everyone, firstly thanks for all your efforts to support this race.

I currently have 15 entries for the "Feminine" which with three weeks to go before the official closing date is fantastic I only need another 5 entries to make this a definate go-er. There are plenty of first timers taking the plunge so do not feel intimidated I'm sure everyone else is feeling the same too. Just get out there and have some fun.

Good luck to all those who have entered and please pass the word to any who are on the brink, it'll be a great day out!

Cheers Jez

Got a call from Jez last night to say I am 3rd reserve & should get a ride.
Should I be worried? This would be my first competitive bike race.

Should I swim in the lake first & kid myself it's a triathlon?

Just make sure you have a quite week prior to the race, keep the miles down and just a couple of 0.5hr low intensity rides especially the Frid to Thur before. If you do that you will be fine, your not doing anything that week anyway are u????

Just a quiet week in the Canaries - no big plans, just a couple of easy spins & freeflow San Miguel by the pool hopefully.

10 out of 42 riders in the 'fastest' groups are Fawkurk, I reckon EK follows the chequered blue and white train up to the front bunches. Assuming 'Ding Dong' Murdoch hasn't ridden off the front by then from group 2...
